Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Sheikh Tariq Rasheed was detained by the police.
Sheikh Tariq Rasheed submitted nomination papers from NA 155 today.
Police say that PML-N’s Rana Mehmoodul Hasan and Malik Anwar have also been detained.
Later, the police said that Rana Mahmoodul Hasan was not present in the Election Commission at the time of the dispute.
Rana Mehmoodul Hasan was detained on charges of rioting in the Election Commission.
Earlier, during the submission of nomination papers in Multan, an altercation broke out between PML-N and PTI workers in front of the Election Commission.
Meanwhile, workers of both the parties pelted stones at each other due to which 6 people were slightly injured.
The fight took place between supporters of PTI candidate Malik Amir Dogar and League candidate Tariq Rasheed.
Workers of both parties were shouting slogans against each other.
Shortly after the altercation, PTI workers left the Election Commission office.
