Thousands of dead fish washed up on the banks of a river in Maysan province, Iraq.
The news agency quoted Iraqi authorities as saying that a committee has been formed to find out the reason for the death of thousands of fish in the Amshan River.
The Iraqi authorities further say that the ongoing drought in the area may also be the reason for the death of the fish.
On the other hand, environmental experts say that the rise in temperature will reduce river flow and oxygen.
The United Nations said that Iraq is among the 5 countries most affected by climate change in the world.
