On the occasion of Eid, the government of Sindh announced a reduction in the punishment of prisoners

Karachi: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the Sindh government has announced a reduction in the punishment of prisoners.

According to Express News, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has granted a pardon of up to 120 days in the punishment of prisoners on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

The Sindh Home Department has issued a notification to reduce the punishment of prisoners.

This exemption will not apply to prisoners convicted of serious crimes such as kidnapping for ransom, terrorism, robbery or activities against the state.
