Berlin: German Chancellor Olaf Schulz has appealed to China to use its influence over Russia to end the ongoing war against Ukraine.
The German chancellor made this appeal to China while talking to the media along with the head of the Chinese government and Premier of the State Council Li Qiang.
The Chinese delegation headed by Li Chiang is visiting Germany these days. The German chancellor added that I again appeal to the Chinese government to use its influence on Russia to end the war against Ukraine.
Olaf Schulz said that as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, China has a special responsibility.
The German chancellor said that it is very important that China remains committed to not supplying arms to an aggressive Russia. He said that he also thanked China for taking a clear stand regarding non-use of nuclear weapons.
