JUI's decision to remain silent on complaints against Governor K.P

Peshawar: JUI has decided to remain silent on complaints against Governor KPK Haji Ghulam Ali.

During the two-day meeting of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s central Majlis Shura held in Peshawar, PDM parties Muslim League (N), People’s Party and Awami National Party organized rallies and social gatherings against Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali. Media complaints and demands for his removal from office were considered.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has adopted a strategy of keeping silent on the complaints of PDM parties against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, and has decided that it will be discussed only when the issue is resolved by the coalition. The parties will be presented at the PDM level where any action will be taken only after hearing the bilateral stand at the alliance summit.

Sources of JUI said that it was clarified in the meeting that Maulana Fazlur Rahman is not only the head of JUI but also of PDM, so if any party included in PDM asks Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali. If there is any kind of complaint, he could have contacted Maulana Fazlur Rehman himself and brought it to his notice or he could have raised the matter through his party, but it is not possible to talk about such things through meetings, corner meetings and social media. It is equivalent to blowing the whistle and complaining to the party leadership instead of the governor, so it is not appropriate to answer such things.

According to the sources, it was decided in the meeting that if such a matter is raised by any party at the PDM level, in that case, the alliance will call a meeting and take a bilateral stand and only after that a decision can be taken. No, because in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, people belonging to all parties are part of the caretaker government, which is ruling together, while quarrels can arise even within a party, which is a normal thing.

In this regard, when the provincial spokesman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Abdul Jalil Jan, was contacted, he said that the parties involved in PDM are brought to the notice of the head of the alliance if they have any complaints with the governor. Talking in meetings is nothing but playing politics.

He said that JUI is a community of scholars and takes matters seriously, but this can only happen when the relevant forum is discussed in a serious manner.
