Karachi: A year-long study conducted in nine developing countries, including Pakistan, has shown that patients’ lives can be improved even after brain rupture and blood flow. This method can save millions of lives every year.

Prominent A report published in the medical journal The LancetIt’s a bundled therapy called Interact Three. In this way, especially in poor and developing countries, patients with stroke or brain hemorrhage will not only receive effective treatment, but also reduce their mortality in the first year.

There are two types of strokes, firstly, a blood clot gets stuck in a narrow vein of the brain and oxygen access to the rest of the body including the blood stops. Although the incidence of cerebral hemorrhage is less than that of other types of stroke, the mortality rate is very high.

The summary of this experimental process is that those who were given the bundle therapy saw a 14% improvement compared to the rest. The research was overseen by Craig Anderson of The George Institute for Global Health and involved Chile, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Mexico, Brazil and other countries. Experts from Aga Khan University Hospital from Pakistan were also involved in it.

A few important considerations are taken into account in the Interact Three method. First of all, in this, every effort is made to control the patient’s blood pressure. Secondly, efforts are made to keep blood sugar levels low. Abnormal drugs that dissolve blood clots should be withdrawn.

According to experts, this is a simple, inexpensive and effective method that can be tried everywhere. Interact 3 is very easy to implement. Similarly, by keeping the blood glucose level normal, the dangerous effects of this type of stroke can be reduced.
