Lahore: 12 terrorists were arrested in intelligence-based operations of CTD in view of terror concerns.
According to the CTD spokesman, the intelligence operations were conducted in Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala, in which the arrested terrorists belong to the banned organization Daesh and TTP.
In this regard, the authorities say that explosive materials, suicide vests, detonators, hand grenades, weapons, bullets and cash have been recovered from the terrorists. The arrested terrorists have been identified as Mir Ahmed, Habib-ur-Rehman Haroon, Zia, Imran, Mudassar, Adeel and Farooq, officials have said.
Cases have been registered against the terrorists and investigation has been started. According to officials, 40 suspects were arrested during 249 combing operations this week. 12112 people were asked.
According to the spokesman, CTD is committed to pursuing the goal of safe Punjab and rooting out the scourge of terrorism.
