Could not find content for results; Cambridge will resume two papers canceled in Pakistan

Karachi: Cambridge Assessment International Education has decided to retake the papers of two A-level subjects canceled in Pakistan on May 10 and 12 in view of the country’s situation.

According to the details, the A-level papers of Mathematics and History of Pakistan will be held simultaneously across the country on June 21 in the morning and afternoon respectively, while their results will be released by August 18.

It should be noted that the release date of all remaining A Level results is fixed on August 10. According to British Council sources, schools/colleges and private candidates are being informed about this decision.

Earlier, Cambridge Assessment International Education had announced that the papers canceled on May 10, 11 and 12 would not be retaken and hence the word ‘cancelled’ was used instead of ‘postponed’ while at the same time it was said that Because when the Cambridge students give the papers of other components of the same subjects, the average marking of the canceled papers will be done through the results there.

Now it is being told that since A-level does not have the second part of the history paper, while both the parts of the mathematics paper were canceled on May 10 and 12 in the context of the country’s situation, the average marking of these two subjects was not possible. Keeping in front the above decision has been taken.

According to British Council sources, several thousand students from all over the country will participate in these two papers, but the number of students participating in the history paper is limited. An email has been received through the British Council according to which the British Council will determine the examination centers for the students in this regard by June 7. According to the principal, both the papers to be retaken are of A2.

It should be noted that the results of other canceled papers will be taken from the examinations given in other sections of the same subjects.
