No one gets depression in villages, Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Mumbai: Famous Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has said that depression is a part of urban life, there is no concept of it in villages.

In a recent interview, the actor said that he hails from an area where if he told his father he had depression, he would have slapped him hard.

He said that no one gets depression in the village and everyone is happy there, this disease infects the city dwellers.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that the people of the city exaggerate their every little emotion, that’s why depression is an urban concept.

According to the actor, there is a culture and society in the villages where happiness persists and depression cannot remain there.
