South African President Cyril Ramaphosa says that Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskiy have expressed their willingness to meet with African leaders for a preliminary peace agreement.

Ukraine has clarified its position and asked that all Russian military forces leave its territories.
The President of South Africa said in a joint press briefing with the Prime Minister of Singapore in Cape Town that the leaders of Russia and Ukraine are ready to meet with African leaders.
He said that Putin and Zelenskiy will meet with African leaders to discuss the end of the war.
A statement released by the South African president said that Putin and Zelensky have agreed to meet with the African delegation in their respective capitals.
The peace agreement is supported by the leaders of Senegal, Uganda, Egypt, Congo and Zambia.
Sir Ramaphosa said that the Secretary General of the United Nations has been briefed on the peace agreement.
