Rawalpindi: After the arrest of Imran Khan, during the protest by PTI, the destruction of 4 metro bus stations caused a loss of 145 million.
According to the report compiled by the Commissioner’s Inspection Committee, the worst damage was done to the Sixth Road Metro Station which was completely destroyed. The inspection committee said in its report that PTI attackers vandalized and set fire to metro station Khatman Nabubat, metro station Faizabad and metro station Committee Chowk.
As a result of the disaster, the system of these stations was affected. Protesters destroyed valuables and ticketing systems of metro stations. The attackers caused more than 10 crores damage to the Sixth Road station. Khatman Nabubt station suffered more than 1.5 crore damage while Faizabad station suffered more than 50 lakh damage. Committee Chowk station suffered more than 1.15 million damage.
The convener of the inspection committee was Jamshed Aftab, Chief Planner RDA, while the members of the committee included Deputy Director of RDA Akram Nadeem, Deputy Director Technical Sanam Siddiqui, Commissioner Office and Manager Operation Metro Bus Shamaila Mohsin.
