Oil industry sources have indicated the possibility of Rs 17 per liter reduction in the price of petrol in the country from yesterday (May 16).
According to oil industry sources, total diesel price may decrease by 27 rupees.
Oil industry sources also say that the price of petrol will decrease due to the falling price in the global market.
It should be noted that the federal government had decided to maintain the price of petrol at the current level from May 1 to May 15.
The government had made high speed diesel cheaper by Rs 5 per litre, kerosene by Rs 10 per liter and light diesel oil by Rs 10 per litre.
After this reduction, the price of high speed diesel has decreased from Rs.293 per liter to Rs.288 per liter, the price of kerosene oil has decreased from Rs.186 7 paise to Rs.176 7 paise per liter and the price of light diesel oil has been reduced to Rs.174 68 per litre. It was reduced to 164 rupees 68 paise.
The price of petrol was kept at Rs 282 per litre.
