Karachi: Pakistan-Ethiopia Business Forum has been successfully organized under Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TADAP).
Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) successfully organized the Pakistan Ethiopia Business Forum on 9th May 2023 in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan in Ethiopia, this prestigious event was held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi.

The Ethiopian delegation was led by Ambassador Misguno Arega, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, and included government officials, ministers of state, representatives of Ethiopian Airlines and dignitaries from various ministries.
Two other Ministers of State namely HE Kassahon Gofe, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration; and Dr Fauzia Amin, Minister of State, Ministry of Innovation and Technology; He was also part of the delegation.
Chief Executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Zubair Motiwala and Dr. Fareed Iqbal Qureshi were present at the event. The function was also attended by senior officials of TDAP including Mr. Nasir Hamid Senior Director General, Mr. Basit Rauf Director General, Mr. Muhammad Arifullah Director General and other distinguished guests like Mr. Jameel Ahmed Qureshi, Additional Board of Investment. Presentations on economic outlook and business and investment opportunities were made during the session. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce.

Additionally, Ethiopian Airlines launched its inaugural flight from Karachi to Ethiopia on the occasion, increasing connectivity between Pakistan and Ethiopia.
Mohammad Zubair Motiwala in his address highlighted the importance of Ethiopian Airlines flights to Karachi and said that it provided a unique opportunity for Pakistan to strengthen its relations not only with Ethiopia but with the whole of Africa. He emphasized that the enhanced connectivity and business forum will provide a platform for both parties to showcase business, trade and investment opportunities in various sectors of Ethiopia and Pakistan.
Ethiopia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Misguno Arga acknowledged the ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic and trade relations between both Pakistan and Ethiopia. He highlighted Ethiopia’s commitment to increase international trade and change policies to attract more international investment.
