Lahore: JIT of Punjab Police reached Zaman Park to visit the crime scene.

Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of Punjab Police headed by SSP Imran Kishor reached Imran Khan’s residence Zaman Park to visit the crime scene.

The JIT will examine the crime scene of Zaman Park in relation to 10 cases filed against PTI chairman in 3 police stations. Yesterday, JIT could not visit due to Imran Khan being in Islamabad. After visiting the crime scene, the JIT will also begin the process of investigating Imran Khan as per the instructions of the Lahore High Court.

Punjab Police’s Joint Investigation Team (JIT) includes SSP Imran Kishor, SP Aftab, SP Javed Iqbal.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court heard applications against the JIT set up to investigate the incidents of Zaman Park police violence, in which Additional Chief Secretary Home Shakeel Ahmed appeared in the court.

During the hearing, Additional Advocate General Ghulam Sarwar Nahang argued that there is a procedure for the formation of JIT in the law itself. At the request of the province, the law itself has specified the procedure for the appointment of the personnel of the agencies.

Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh, head of the 3-member full bench of the Lahore High Court, asked whether the JIT can function without rules, to which the Additional Home Secretary replied that everything is written in great detail in the CRPC. Is. JIT works according to law in the presence of CRPC. The public prosecutor said that the investigating officer in every case works according to law.

The petitioner’s lawyer said in the court that there is also a question that the warrant of the court was for Bani Gala, can it be executed in Lahore? Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer said that he should have applied to the court to comply with the notices at his address in Lahore, but he did not follow the law.

Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh asked if you can call the ISI directly, to which Additional Chief Secretary Home said we can. There is no prohibition.

Later, the Lahore High Court reserved its decision on the completion of the hearing on the applications filed against the formation of the JIT set up to investigate the cases registered on the Zaman Park incidents. It should be noted that PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry and Musrat Jamshed Cheema had filed applications.
