Nepra increased the cost of electricity by 34 paise per unit

Islamabad: Nepra has hiked the price of electricity by 34 paisa per unit, the increase was made in the context of the March monthly fuel adjustment.

There will be an additional burden of 2 billion 90 crore rupees on the electricity consumers, the increase will not apply to the electricity consumers of Lifeline and K. Electricity consumers will have to make additional payments in May bills.

According to CPPA officials, the burden of LNG that we cannot use falls on the electricity consumers. Member Nepra Rafiq Shaikh said that any letter was written to completely end load shedding in March?

CPPA officials said that CPPA had written in March not to do load shedding, CPPA had asked for full utilization of LNG.
