Karachi: Heavy rain started suddenly in different areas of Shahr Quaid.
Clouds fell in other areas including Lyari, Baldia Town, Old City Area, Garden East, Garden West, Nishtar Road, Ramswamy, Ranchhod Line, Soldier Bazar, Orangi Town, Gulshan Iqbal, Liaquatabad and Gulistan Johar.
Rain made the weather pleasant in the city while the intensity of heat decreased.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that the rain system will remain active in the city till May 2. Heavy rain with thunderstorm is expected in Karachi today.
Thunderstorms may continue tomorrow (Monday) while light rain with thundershowers is expected on Tuesday.
Westerly winds persist over South Balochistan and Sindh while the system extends to the North Arabian Sea.
In various districts of rural Sindh, the rain system may also cause rains till May 2. Heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected under its influence.
Some districts of rural Sindh may experience hail and dust storm like conditions.
