A 9-year-old boy was killed by a kite string on the Lyari Expressway in Liaquatabad area of Karachi.
According to the police, 9-year-old Shah Faiz died after a kite strung around his neck in Bandhani Colony, Liaquatabad.
Police say that the body of Shah Faiz was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The child’s family took the body away without legal action.
Meanwhile, the family members say that Shah Faiz went to the Lyari Expressway in an attempt to steal the kite.
They said that as soon as the kite came in the hand of the child, the string with it got tangled in the speeding vehicle due to which the string wrapped around the child’s neck and cut his throat.
The deceased child was being taken to the hospital when he died on the way.
