Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that all politicians and parties are respectful to us.
Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, DG ISPR said that the purpose of the press conference is to cover the professional activities of the army and to cover the measures taken by the army against terrorism.
He said that India’s propaganda against Pakistan is continuing, Pakistan has always cooperated with UN military observers, Pakistan has taken UN observers to the Line of Control (LoC) several times.
The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army said that Pakistan has also visited the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) along the LoC.
He also said that India has not allowed any foreign observers or media to cross the LoC, always ready to counter all Indian mischief.
He said that there were various violations of the LoC by India this year, Pakistan Army also shot down 6 spy quadcopters of India.
According to DG ISPR, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan organizations have been proven to have links with foreign agencies.
He said that Pakistan’s civil and military agencies have taken excellent measures against terrorists.
He also said that 436 incidents of terrorism took place this year, 293 people were martyred and 523 people were injured in the incidents of terrorism.
DG ISPR gave details and said that 14 people were martyred and 16 injured in 5 incidents of terrorism in Punjab.
He said that this year security forces conducted 8279 intelligence-based operations. There is no no-go area in Pakistan.
He said that during this time 1535 terrorists were sent to hell, more than 70 intelligence-based operations are being conducted on a daily basis.
According to DG ISPR, terrorists are still disturbing the peace situation in the country, weapons were recovered from these terrorists and their facilitators.
He said that the Peshawar attack was carried out by a member of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar after the orders of TTP, the suicide bomber of the Peshawar attack belonged to Afghanistan.
He said that the facilitators of the Peshawar attack have been arrested. The training of these terrorists was done in different areas of Afghanistan.
Spokesman Pakistan Army said that the facilitators first performed Reiki and then attacked the mosque after seeing the crowd.
Regarding the attack on the Karachi Police Office, DG ISPR said that the three terrorists of the attack on the Karachi Police Office were killed.
He said that 3 masterminds of the Karachi police attack were detained. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists arrested in Karachi police attack.
He said that the terrorist involved in the Karachi police attack had received 30 lakh rupees.
DG ISPR said that this year 137 officers and jawans were martyred and 117 jawans were injured.
He said that Baloch National Army chief Gulzar Imam alias Shanbay was arrested.
The spokesperson of Pakistan Army expressed determination and said that the war fought by Pakistan against terrorism is unprecedented, the war against terrorism will continue until the end of the last terrorist.
He said that terrorist organizations and their facilitators have no ideology, religion or faith. These terrorists also attack mosques, police, clerics, media and citizens.
DG ISPR while talking about the fencing of Pak-Afghan border said that 98% of the fencing work on the 2611 km border has been completed.
He said that 85% of the fencing work on Pakistan-Iran border has been completed.
He said that 65 percent of the area in the tribal districts was cleared of mines. The role of media and scholars in the war against terrorism is also commendable.
DG ISPR said that no individual or armed group will be allowed to take the law into their hands.
He also said that economic activities are now going on in the terror affected areas. Various projects worth 162 billion rupees were launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 95% of the population affected by terrorism has also returned to their homes.
He said that 1292 students are studying in Army Medical Colleges, efforts to sabotage CPEC and other projects are being foiled.
According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Army, Recodek project will play an important role in the development of Balochistan. Full security is being provided to all projects.
He said that the army chief cut the army budget for the construction and development of Gwadar, various welfare projects were announced by cutting the army budget.
DG ISPR said that Navy and Pakistan Air Force also participated in these relief operations.
He said that NDMA is still providing aid in Turkey and Syria, the forces also played an important role in relief activities in Torkham landslide.
He also said that in view of the economic situation, the Pakistan Army has also decided to reduce its expenses under the austerity campaign.
He said that petroleum, ration, non-operational movements are being reduced.
Spokesman of Pakistan Army said that Pakistan is the only country to deal with terrorism successfully. We have come a long way in the war on terror.
He said that Pakistan has fought a war against terrorists for 2 decades, now the journey towards permanent peace has started.
Spokesman Pakistan Army said that India’s aggressive intentions and baseless allegations cannot change history. India cannot change the historical status of Kashmir.
He also said that if India plans any adventure, Pakistan forces will give a strong response.
He said that every soldier of Pakistan is devoted to faith, piety and jihad in the cause of Allah. Can defend your country like February 2019.
He said that there is a big difference between India and our defense budget.
According to DG ISPR, the army chief reiterates that the people are the source of real power.
Answering the question, DG ISPR clarified that all political parties are respectable for us.
He said that the army of Pakistan is a national army, we are not attracted to any particular political party or ideology. No one wants the military to represent a particular ideology.
He said that the constitution of Pakistan gives every citizen the right to freedom of opinion, this constitution also makes the right to freedom of opinion binding on the law.
He said that what is being said against the Pakistan Army is unconstitutional, the people will not want the army to get involved in a useless debate, they give importance to constructive criticism.
DG ISPR said that the law can be put into motion without taking the law into hand.
He said that Pakistan’s situation is important in India’s internal politics. India also talks about Pakistan’s politics to divert attention from its own problems.
Spokesman of Pakistan Army said that false flag operation, fake propaganda against Pakistan has been India’s slogan. Some domestic elements knowingly or unknowingly advance India’s agenda.
Talking about the Army Chief’s visit to China, DG ISPR said that Pakistan has a long-standing relationship with China. Army Chief General Asim Munir’s visit to China is also to expand these relations.
Spokesman Pakistan Army said that it is regrettable that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is being criticized for a small incident. KP Police has made countless sacrifices. The army is and will remain with them to train the police.
He said that veterans are an asset of Pakistan Army, Air Force and Navy, recognizing the sacrifices of veterans.
He also said that the aim of the Veterans Organization is the welfare of its people.
Spokesman Pakistan Army said that baseless and unjustified propaganda against the army is going on on social media.
