A petition challenging the formation of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was heard in the Lahore High Court.
Lahore High Court Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh heard the petitions.
The Punjab government has been given 2 days to file a reply to the petition against the formation of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) set up to investigate the cases against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and others.
Advocate General Punjab had sought time to file a reply to the petitions of Fawad Chaudhry and Musrat Jamshed Cheema.
The court accepted the request of the public prosecutor, during the hearing the court assured that the Prosecutor General should also be heard in this case.
A 2-member bench of the Lahore High Court adjourned the Advocate General Punjab till April 19 for reply.
In the petition, the PTI leaders demanded that the JIT set up to investigate the cases of the Punjab government should be annulled.
The petitions contended that the JIT was set up on the basis of malice, and the petition will now be heard on April 19.
