Islamabad: The United Arab Emirates has confirmed one billion dollars in financial assistance, while the UAE authorities have also informed the IMF.
Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said in his tweet on the social networking platform Twitter that the State Bank of Pakistan is in contact with the authorities of the United Arab Emirates, the document is being finalized for depositing one billion dollars. .
It should be noted that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has assured an early staff level agreement with Pakistan.
Another important virtual meeting between Pakistan and the IMF was held yesterday, with Pakistan led by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, while the Finance Ministry, Economic Affairs Secretaries and State Bank Governor attended the meeting from Washington.
During the meeting, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Deputy MDIMF Antoinette Manisa discussed Pakistan’s economic situation and reforms and reviewed Pakistan’s implementation of IMF program targets.
