Islamabad: The Judicial Commission recommended Justice Musrat Hilali to be made the Chief Justice.
According to the report, a Judicial Commission meeting was held in the Supreme Court under the chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, in which the name of Justice Musrat Hilali has been considered for the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court.
In the meeting, all the members of the Judicial Commission recommended Justice Musrat Hilali to become the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court. The recommendation of the Judicial Commission was sent to the Parliament for final approval.
It should be noted that Justice Musrat Hilali is currently serving as Acting Chief Justice in Peshawar High Court and is the most senior judge.

It should be remembered that Justice Musrat Hilali is the first woman Chief Justice of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to hold the post of Chief Justice. Justice Musrat Hilali has also been the first woman Chairperson of Environmental Protection Tribunal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She has also served as the first woman ombudsman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
