Non-payment of salaries, fear of suspension of PIA flights

Karachi: Deducted from FBR arrears, Group 5 to 10 officers including PIA captains could not get salaries.

According to the sources, FBR has deducted 1 billion 30 crore rupees from the accounts of the national airline due to which the pilots including officers of Pay Group 5 to 10 of PIA have not received their salary for March yet. Ski, despite the month of Ramadan, the pilots started considering not to operate the flights due to non-payment of salary.

According to the sources, the salaries of the pilots and officers will be paid by the end of next week.

It should be noted that the salaries of the employees of Pay Group 1 to 4 were also paid yesterday, the PIA administration will pay Rs 40 crore on Monday out of the Rs 1 billion 70 crore tax dues.
