After the murder of Professor Dr. Ajmal Sawand in Kashmore district of Sindh, the accused fled from the area.
SSP Kashmore Irfan Samu says that the hideouts of the accused have been set on fire.
On the other hand, IBA Sukkur Assistant Professor Dr. Ajmal Sawand, who suffered from tribal ignorance in Kashmore, was buried in the local graveyard of Sukkur.
Yesterday, the armed men of the Sundarani tribe shot the assistant professor of IBA Sukkur, Dr. Ajmal Sawand, to sleep in the Ghora Ghat area of Kashmore and the accused managed to escape after the incident.
According to SSP Kashmore Irfan Samu, the incident is an indication of the long-standing enmity between the Sundarani and Savand tribes, and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
Dr. Ajmal Sawand, despite belonging to Ghoraghat, a backward area of Kashmore, pursued higher education and preferred to teach in his own country instead of living in France.
Dr. Ajmal Sawand obtained his PhD in Computer Science from France after which he started teaching at IBA Sukkur.
On the other hand, intelligent and educated people seem to be afraid of the growing tribal conflicts in Sindh.
Teachers and educated people have demanded the Sindh government to immediately arrest the killers of Dr. Ajmal Savand, taking notice of the growing tribal conflicts in Sindh.
