Islamabad: The court extended the order to stop the recount in 6 union councils of Karachi.
A hearing on Jamaat-e-Islami’s request to stop the recount in 6 UCs of Karachi was held in the Islamabad High Court, in which the court extended the order to stop the recount till April 11, the next hearing date.
The application was heard by Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan of Islamabad High Court, but no one appeared today on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami. The court remarked that if the petitioner does not appear at the next hearing, the injunction will be dismissed.
Election Commission lawyer Saad Hassan appeared in the court on the occasion of the hearing.
It should be noted that Jamaat-e-Islami has filed a request to stop the recount in 6 union councils of Karachi, on which the court today postponed further hearing of the case till April 11.
