A police committee has been formed for the prevention of Gatka, Mawa, Mainpuri and drugs in Sindh, SSPSIU Junaid Shaikh will be the chairman of the committee.
On the instructions of IG Sindh, DIG CIA Karim Khan issued the notification of the committee.
According to the notification, DSP Pir Muhammad Nasir has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the committee, while sub-inspectors Raza Sharif, Shahzad Baig and Aslam Khan have been appointed as members.
According to the notification issued, the three police sub-inspectors will also be in charge of three different teams.
Chairman Committee Junaid Shaikh says that Gatka, Mawa, Mainpuri and other drug affected people will be searched and interviewed.
Junaid Sheikh says that in the light of the statements of the victims, cases will be framed against the Gutka mafia, strong cases will be made against the people from whom the victims bought drugs.
Police officials say that effective legal action will be taken against the accused involved in the scandal.
