Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan has decided not to participate in Karachi by-elections.
According to Express News, a consultative meeting of the coordination committee was held at the temporary headquarters of MQM in Bahadurabad, in which the current situation of the country and political issues were discussed.
Taking into account the opinion of the members in the meeting, the coordination committee decided not to participate in the by-elections of Karachi. After which the United National Assembly will not participate in the by-elections and local body elections of NA-239.
MQM directed the candidates from constituency NA-239 to withdraw their nomination papers. It should be noted that the by-election in National Assembly Constituency NA-239 will be held on April 18, while the local body elections will be held on April 30.
Spokesperson MQM said that the country is suffering from serious problems, everyone needs to sit together and find a solution to the problems, our eyes are on the general elections and hard work is going on.
