Chat GPT, the latest chatting platform, has been banned in Italy

Rome: Italy has become the first western country to block the latest chat platform, ChatGPT.

According to global media, the Italian Data Protection Authority has expressed privacy concerns regarding the US-made OpenAI (Artificial Intelligence) and Microsoft-backed chat GPT model.

The authority said ChatGPT has been banned due to privacy concerns while OpenAI will be investigated immediately.

It should be noted that millions of people have used ChatGPT since its launch in November 2022. The platform can answer questions using natural, human-like language and can also mimic other writing styles using the Internet.

Microsoft has spent billions on it and it was also added to Bing last month. Microsoft also said it will add a version of the technology to its Office apps such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

On the other hand, there are other concerns about artificial intelligence (AI) in the public sphere, such as the threat to jobs and the spread of misinformation and prejudice.
