Islamabad: A senior Indian diplomat also attended the iftar dinner hosted by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the diplomatic corps established in Islamabad.

According to sources, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also invited the charge d’affaires along with diplomats based in the capital. India’s invitation was accepted and the senior Indian diplomat attended the dinner at the Foreign Office.

According to sources, the Indian diplomat was sitting next to Qamar Zaman Kaira, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs. In recent years, Pakistan and India have avoided inviting each other to such events due to the tense situation.

Meanwhile Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing the diplomatic corps said that not only in Pakistan but in all societies there are people who are facing incredibly difficult times.

The foreign minister said that he was ready to accept that many of the problems were ‘of our own making’, that we were facing the economic consequences of certain decisions that were beyond our control.

He said that people are facing the devastating effects of climate disaster in the form of floods, while we have no role to play in it, the young generation is facing the consequences of the decisions they did not make. .
