Pakistan’s third private airline Air Sial has started its international flights from Lahore today. Chairman Air Sial says that in the first phase, 8 weekly flights will be operated from Lahore and Islamabad to Jeddah.
Speaking to the media at the opening ceremony at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, Chairman Air Sial Fazal Jilani said that the launch of international flights after the successful domestic operation is a major achievement of Air Sial.
He also informed that in the first phase, 8 weekly flights will be operated from Lahore, Islamabad to Jeddah. In this way, Air Sial will operate 68 flights to Jeddah every month.
He said that in the next phase, flights to Jeddah will be operated from Karachi, Multan and Sialkot, while flights to Gulf countries will also be operated soon.
Chairman Air Sial said that the airline will also start operations to London and Manchester after the EU ban is lifted.
Fazal Jilani said that Air Sial flights are being operated by Airbus 320 while larger aircraft will be added to the air fleet soon.
Pakistan’s third private airline, Air Sial, has started international flights after almost two and a half years of domestic flights.
The inaugural flight of Air Sial departed from Lahore to Jeddah with 160 passengers.
Chairman Air Sial, Board of Directors officers and CAA officials saw off the passengers of the inaugural flight.
National team fast bowler Haris Rauf and former Test cricketer Aqib Javed also participated in the opening ceremony.
