The central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi says that the country is currently under the economic crisis, close to default.
Addressing a gathering at PTI leader Javed Ansari’s residence in Multan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that despite efforts, the government could not sign an agreement with the IMF.
He said that those who came to power in the name of regime change made the country worse.
He said that one-point agenda of Tehreek-e-Insaf is quick and transparent elections, in the current uncertain political situation, the democratic system may be derailed.
The former foreign minister said that the rulers will have to hold elections even if they don’t want to.
He said that there was a crackdown on Tehreek-e-Insaf workers across Punjab.
He said that the government has left behind fascism in retaliation.
He further said that the government is taking retaliatory actions to divert attention from its incompetence and performance.
