Lahore: An anti-corruption case has been registered against Muhammad Khan Bhatti, the principal secretary of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, who is accused of taking more than 46 crore rupees as bribe from the officials of the highway department.
According to Express News, government officer SDO Highway Rana Muhammad Iqbal was arrested on the charge of bribery, while anti-corruption has started action to arrest Muhammad Khan Bhatti.
It has been stated in the FIR that the SDO highway department Rana Iqbal has given crores of rupees to the accused Muhammad Khan Bhatti in the last few years for the posting of his choice. And kept giving him crores of rupees as bribe.
The FIR states that the anti-corruption department will investigate while determining the roles of Highway Exxon Dilshad Ahmed, Kashif Shakur, Fateh Muhammad and Arshad Nadeem, SDO Naeem Butt, Exxon Muhammad Frayad, owners Naveed Construction and Raza. The character of the construction will also be determined during the investigation.
