The Story of Derawar - Express Urdu

It is said that the story that is told back to back, chest to chest, shows the truth reflected in it, because this story is not written by force or coercion, but it is preserved in the book of the heart for centuries. .

Come on guys! Today we tell you the true story of ‘Qala Derawar’ which we have been hearing from the elders, and in addition to this the uncrowned king of our Rohi and Cholistan and famous stories, Ustad Ghulam Haider Khan Manganhar (Late). And other nobles used to describe the story of “Derawar Fort” as follows:

Raja Bhubhan Panwar Rajput ruled the ancient city of “Lader Wah” near Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan Marwar Rajputana province of India adjacent to Rohi and Cholistan. He was deprived of the blessing of a son.

After a long time, when the daughter Rahmat was born in the house, the king asked the young jyotish (astrologers) that who will be the owner of this throne and crown after me?

The Jyotishians, looking through their Jyotish books, calculated and told that where the refuge! The owner of your Shahi will be from Bhati family instead of Panwars. The king was shocked to hear this and issued an order that the race of Bhati Rajputs should be exterminated. There will be no bamboo. A flute of nine o’clock.

Then the market of killings became so hot that piles of dead bodies started appearing everywhere.

But who will taste the one whom Allah keeps?

Seeing this cruelty and abuse, a woman named “Venti” among the Bhati chiefs disguised herself and came to her brother “Jaja Bhatta Solankhi Rajput” to save the child growing in her womb. It is said that this place was the fort-like palace of “Jaja Bhatta” located near the shrines on the west side of the present “Dirawar Fort”.

“Venthi Devi” informed her brother about all the circumstances, then the brother said that “Bahna!” Don’t choose, we will take revenge for this cruelty. Veniti always used arrows, swords and other war tools in the burning fire of revenge so that the child growing in the womb could become a warrior and take revenge for his family and the Bhati nation. That day drew near.

There was no place for the happiness of the uncle. The royal wedding bells began to ring. But “Venti” stopped beating the royal bugle and drum and said to his brother, until my poor liver is young, then it is better if this secret remains, otherwise that tyrant will attack here and cause harm.

“Deravar Singh Bhati” when he was a young man armed with weapons and went out to play hunting, saw a strange sight near a net tree in the middle of the present fort peninsula site that a sheep had given birth and a bloodthirsty man was standing nearby. As soon as the wolf pounces on the child, the flames fall on the wolf protecting the lamb and it turns back and attacks again trying to pick up the child.

“Deravar Singh” was surprised when he saw this incident. After killing the wolf, when they started digging the place, a lot of treasure came out. It is said that this precious treasure ‘Sikander the Great’ had buried the treasure obtained from the plunder of the river Hakra as a safe place.

So that later he could take it to his homeland, but Alexander fell seriously ill from the arrows of the “Rajapuras” and went back in a state of severe fever. When Deravar Singh found this treasure of precious diamonds, jewels, gold and silver, he said to his uncle Jaja that uncle! Give me as much space as a buffalo hide so that I can play hunting in isolation. The uncle accepted the word of the nephew.

“Derawar Singh” surrounded the site of the present fort by making cords like fine threads of buffalo hide from a cobbler called Gandhir. (This Gandhir family is still present in Derawar) When Jaja Singh saw the place of cordon, Bubble got up and complained to Venti, sister said.

Don’t talk about Sanad Juja Venti

Ka bhatte ka bhatia kot dawn day

Venati said brother! The fort is made of Bhate or Bhati is the same thing. A Rajput is true to his word and a promise, it is not the job of a Rajput to go astray. If you don’t stick to your promise, you will be infamous, people will taunt you. Bhutto’s breach of promise will be written in history.

There will be laughter and all these things will kill me alive and turn me into a living corpse. Jaja Bhatta said, sister!… Well, as per the promise, this place belongs to “Deurao Singh”, but I will not allow the soil to be removed from the place outside the boundary.

So “Derawar Singh” spoke to the Raja of Ouch Sharif about the treasures and all the things under construction were brought from Ouch. It is said that brick, stone, mortar and other materials were brought row by row through seventy miles long rows and this fort was started to be built in 834 AD. When Raja Bhubhan of Jaisalmer Leather Wah came to know, he wanted to send an army to kill Derawar Singh, Derawar Singh with great wisdom and cunning rode a camel and hid in the field of Ratnagar Pandit. On being chased, they could not be recognized and the army returned.

The astrologers said, O king! “Devkamat Deurao Singh” now became the owner of the fort. He will take revenge by building a strong army. Then the market of killings will be hot, for which you will be called all responsible. The good thing is that by fixing your daughter’s relationship with Derawar Singh, your daughter will rule and the enmity will end forever.

Then it happened. According to tradition, coconuts were sent. Venati, Jaja Bhatta and Derawar Singh were begged by the Pandits. got married. Derawar Singh became the master of Lederva and Derawar city and so the Bhatis settled several forts.

Kasi, Mathura, Pragbhad, Kasneri, Bhatnir

Digam, Derawar, Garhganjni, Navon Jaisalmer

Bhatis ruled these nine places. By establishing a relationship with the Panwars, they began to reign peacefully, turning the enmity into a relationship forever.

Until 1735, this great fort remained in the possession of Derawar Singh’s successors for 17 bastions. The Bhati successors ruled Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Marut, Bajnot, Nawankot and the cities along the Hakra river for about 900 years. In 1735, Nawab Sadiq Muhammad I captured the fort with the help of Ghorgej Khaire Khan. Sumit managed to escape through a long tunnel to Jaisalmer.

But “Rawal Rai Singh” was imprisoned. Nawab Sahib fixed a monthly stipend of fifty rupees and allowed him to stay in the fort so that he could get treasure through secret hideouts and secret tunnels. It may be remembered that this wazifa continued till 1833 to Rai Singh’s descendant Bhum Singh. The descendants of Bhum Singh went to the state of Jaipur and later on they met the Nawabs from time to time and were honored with honors and rewards. There are 40 beautiful towers of this fort, each tower has a different map. There were military posts on these towers.

These magnificent fronts are now disappearing, which were attacked by arrows, swords, cannonballs and stones as well as hot water, with its numerous secret cellars and long tunnels connecting each stronghold. The map has not been found to this day, because when the Nawab conquered the fort, he asked the fort-keeper to show me the treasure, so he took it through the forgotten tunnels to the seven-story basement.

When the Nawab was surprised to see the pile of valuable treasures and wanted to kill the fort with a sword, he said, Nawab! Before you kill me, think that you won’t be able to get out of these secret dungeons and come back alive.

Nawab tried hard but every time he got stuck in the tunnel. After pleading with the fortee, he came back and ran after him to snatch a bunch of keys from the fortee and get a map of the dungeons. The fort-bearer threw the keys into the eastern pond, waving them in the air, and jumped from the high wall to his death. Till today neither those keys nor that map could be found.

It is said that if that seven-door basement treasure is found, then our country will be called the richest country in the whole world. It is known that this treasure is guarded by spirits and Sheshnag.

which no one can attain. The Nawab tried to demolish all the foundations of the old palaces but in vain. All the buildings inside the present fort were built by Nawab Sahib according to the new construction style, including the royal palaces, women’s house, guest house, armory, ring palace, jail house, hanging ghat, and other beautiful buildings which are now turned into ruins. Karbhut Bangla appears dilapidated and dilapidated. Every building has a bat roost.

This abandoned fort was considered a beautiful fort during the reign of the Nawabs. The city of Derawar was a trading market. Merchants from Des Badis used to come in caravans in Purrunaq Bazar doing business. Today, those magnificent flourishing bazaars have turned into ruins.

Outside the fort there was a beautiful wall which has now disappeared. Outside the wall, the city was inhabited, with the magnificent mansions of moneylenders, nobles and merchants. Near the southern old wall there is a charming Shomandar where every year Sho Ratri was celebrated but now this temple has turned into a ruin due to lack of maintenance. The government and the minority assembly members should pay special attention to this ancient temple and provide grants for its reconstruction so that this temple can become a center of attraction for tourists and Hindus and show evidence of religious harmony.

In 1947, the enterprising Hindus migrated to India, but the penniless shepherds, the original inheritors of this land, the Meghwals, Bhils, Balmikis, Bauriya Hindus, did not leave their homeland. Even today, these laborers and shepherds are still present in Derawar and other Cholistan areas, leading a peaceful life. Near the royal courts was the samadhi of Guruji Dada Kushal Guru of the Jain followers, called Thid Mandir. Now there is a stage-like thada, where Bhagati programs are staged every Poonam.

All the historical buildings of the fort are worth visiting. The main gate, the entrance gate, the royal mosque, the shrines of the saints, the royal shrines, besides the Hindu Rama Peer Temple, Takiya Roshan Faqir, Takiya Taj Muhammad San, deserted mansions, Cholistani houses, huts, Rohi mounds, Tobhe ponds, animal shelters. Flocks, cheerful amiable people, smiling faces, hospitable youths, old men, sincere friends of heart, birds of prey, and all other animate and inanimate things are visible, but we have not the words with which we can describe them. You can appreciate the Cholistan desert and this fort if you visit this area, you will find peace of mind in the peaceful environment.

Apart from this, Cholistan Jeep Rally is organized every year from 9th to 13th February. Spectators from all over the country participate and enjoy the spectacular music concerts, colorful literary and cultural programs, bike races, jeep races, camel races and other sporting events. On this occasion, the fort is decorated like a bride and fireworks are set off.
