Islamabad: PTI leader Salman Ahmed was arrested during the crackdown before the rally at Pakistan Minar.
A crackdown is on to arrest the activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) today in Lahore. Police arrested PTI leader Salman Ahmed. In Rawalpindi too, police raids are going on at the houses of TI workers, central leaders and officials.
According to police sources, night raids will be conducted to arrest PTI central leaders Aamir Kayani, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Raja Basharat, City President Mian Imran Hayat, City Information Secretary Raja Usman and others in Rawalpindi but without success.
All PTI leaders have gone into hiding to avoid arrest. 33 activists were detained in the police crackdown that has been going on for a week, who have been released later by the courts.
