Caretaker Chief Minister KP's letter to the Center, demanding billions of rupees owed by the province

He also emphasized on taking up the electricity profit business in the Council of Common Interests

Peshawar: Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Azam Khan has sent a letter to the center to get the billions of rupees owed by the province, while also demanding to take up the issue of electricity profit in the Council of Common Interests.

In a written message sent to the Prime Minister, the Caretaker Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister should give special cooperation to reduce the current financial difficulties of the province, 144 billion rupees are owed to the Center in terms of the development and current budget of the merged districts from 2019 till now.

He said that 469 billion rupees have been received so far in terms of AIP program of the merged districts, 25 billion rupees in terms of federal tax assignment, about 50 billion rupees in terms of net profit of electricity, in terms of oil and gas royalty. Two and a half billion rupees, 935 million rupees due for timely completion of four under-construction dams under federal PSDP in the province.

In the letter, it is said that 10 billion rupees should be provided for the relief and rehabilitation of flood affected people and 100 mmcf of gas allocated for power generation in the province should be restored.
