The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to provide free flour to deserving families during Ramadan.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Department has written to concerned departments including Commissioners and DCs regarding the distribution of free flour.
According to the text of the letter, more than 50 lakh families will be given 3 bags of 10 kg for free in Ramadan, the free flour will be distributed to families registered under the Benazir Income Support Program.
The letter said that 2 lakh 75 thousand 500 metric tons of free wheat will be provided for distribution of free flour, wheat will be released to flour mills according to the number of registered families.
The letter also said that flour mills will provide free 10 kg bag of flour to the public through an approved app.
