He said that during the breeding season, poachers not only hunted different birds, but also often took the eggs and babies of birds, especially parrots, from the nests. This move is not only cruel but it is increasing the fear of extinction of birds.
Badr Munir directed the wildlife workers to create awareness among the public against the strays by imprisoning the birds in their respective cities and areas. In Ramadan, these people make fools of the citizens in the name of charity and reward and free the birds by taking money. Report such persons immediately to the concerned wildlife authorities, traffic police and other authorities.
He also appealed to the citizens to arrange clean water and feed for the birds in the roofs and gardens of their houses during the breeding season of the birds.
