Expatriates sent 2 billion dollars to Pakistan in February.
According to the State Bank, February remittances were 4.9% higher than January this year, while workers’ remittances in January were 1.89 billion dollars.
In February, Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia sent 454.6 million dollars.
32.4 million remittances came from the United Arab Emirates and 31.70 million dollars from the United Kingdom.
Pakistanis living in America sent 21.94 million dollars to Pakistan, the remittances in February this year are 9.5% less than last year.
According to the State Bank, workers’ remittances in the first eight months of this financial year were 18 billion dollars.
The remittances for the eight months of the current financial year are 10.8% less than the same period of the last financial year.
