Karachi: In February 2023, cement sales experienced a decline of 7.10% while the total sales stood at 4.040 million tonnes as compared to 4.348 million tonnes in the month of February last year.
According to the statistics of All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, domestic sales of cement in February 2023 was 3.590 million tons, which was 3.943 million tons in February 2022.
These figures show a decrease of 8.96 percent, while the export of cement increased by 10.96 percent. In February 2023, the export of cement was 4 lakh 49 thousand 940 tons, which was 4 lakh 5 thousand 489 tons in February 2022.
In February 2023, the sales of cement factories in the northern regions were 3.014 million tons, which was 7.42% less than the sales of 3.255 million tons in February last year.
