Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that should the elections be held within three months or later, the People’s Party is always ready.
Speaking in a meeting with party leaders in Lahore, he said that the spirit of the decision must be seen in the detailed decision of the Supreme Court.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the party organizations should prepare for the elections, the candidate who will perform well in advance will get the ticket, the final decision will be in the parliamentary board.
He directed to complete the paper work of the National and Provincial Assembly candidates in one week.
It should be noted that in the Supreme Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial while giving the decision of the ex officio notice said that the elections of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies will be held in 90 days.
The Supreme Court in its decision said that after consulting the Election Commission, the President should announce the date of the elections in Punjab, the Governor should announce the date of the elections in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
