Instead of treating patients in drug rehabilitation centers, they continued to be given drugs
Charsadda: The excise department raided the rehabilitation center in Charsadda and recovered the marker drugs and arrested the accused.
According to the Excise spokesperson, the Excise Department received a secret information that drug dealing is going on in the rehabilitation center. In addition, underage children were sexually abused at the center.
According to Excise Spokesman, 508 grams of heroin, 462 grams of ice, two rifles, two pistols and other weapons were recovered from the rehabilitation center during the raid on drug rehabilitation centers led by the Circle Officer and SHO of Excise Mardan Region.
Accused Arif, the owner of the rehab center, and Haji Rehman, the manager, were arrested. The center was used to sexually abuse minors and imprison healthy people for money, two minors were rescued from the rehab center, one of whom was sixteen years old.
The two children are being handed over to their families, the concerned department has been contacted to cancel the license of the rehab center by registering a case against the arrested accused under all the crimes.
