Lahore: The remaining matches of Pakistan Super League are likely to be shifted from Punjab to Karachi, PCB has called an emergency meeting yesterday to consult with the franchises.
A senior PCB official confirmed the emergency meeting on Friday and said that the district administration has demanded a payment of Rs 50 crore to hold the matches.
The district government has sent bills of Rs 50 crores for conducting matches, the bills have been sent for lighting, food and security, PCB has paid five crores for food and drinks, for conducting matches in Karachi this is Expenses are not payable.
According to the sources, the Sindh government has taken only three crores for the food of the security forces. PCB can move the matches to Karachi to save these costs.
The meeting will determine who will bear the burden if this payment is to be made. If the matches are to be shifted to Karachi, how many will they be? It should be remembered that a total of nine matches, including the final, are to be hosted by Lahore.
