Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to present the budget for the next fiscal year on June 14, while before that the cabinet meeting will be held at 9 am in which the budget will be approved.
According to the details, the Sindh government will present the budget for the next financial year in the assembly on Friday, December 14. All the paperwork has been completed in this regard.
Before the assembly, the Sindh cabinet meeting will be held on June 14 at 9 am under the chairmanship of the chief minister, in which the budget will be approved. Later, at 3 pm, the budget of the province for the next financial year will be presented in the assembly.
According to the sources, the Sindh government has kept the budget of the next financial year in surplus on the demand of the IMF, while no new development projects will be included and it will be proposed to allocate money to complete the ongoing development projects.
Meanwhile, Provincial Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah while talking to the media in the Sindh Assembly said that we hope that the federal government will bring a people-friendly budget, but before that, the NFC award should be brought. He said that now the people cannot bear the burden of more taxes. It is hoped that Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif will take care of the provinces.
He said that Karachi is the only city for which big things are talked about but no plan is given. Motorways are seen in other provinces, while no big plan is brought in Sindh by the federation.
Nasir Shah said that situations and events teach a lot, they are ready to talk to the institutions from which Khan sahib has concerns, but they should also talk to political people. He said that there are complaints of over-billing and tariff being expensive, a strategy is going to be made for electricity supply.
Nasir Hussain Shah said that on the instructions of the party chairman, the provincial government is bringing various projects to provide relief to the people in the budget of the next financial year, such projects will be brought to ensure the supply of electricity to the people. He said that if not much, subsidy will be given in electricity bills for white-clad and poor people.
