Lahore: A major robbery incident has taken place in the capital of Punjab, in which armed men escaped with Rs 85 lakh in cash at gunpoint.
According to details, petrol pump owner Mian Ejaz along with his son was going to deposit 85 lakh rupees in the bank at Banswanwala Road in Batapur area of Lahore when the robbery took place.
The armed men stopped the father and son on the Banswanwala road and took Rs 85 lakh as hostages at gunpoint and fled. The victims said that the robbers were masked and were accompanied by others on backup.
After the incident, the police collected evidence from the scene and initiated legal proceedings.
