Islamabad: District and Sessions Courts Islamabad granted bail to former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas and ordered his release.
In the case of using diplomatic passport, Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah granted bail against a bond of one lakh rupees.
Lawyer Sardar Tanveer Ilyas argued that the maximum punishment under these provisions is three years, so the accused should get bail, the passport has also been returned.
During the hearing, the FIA officials produced the records in the court while the FIA prosecutor opposed Sardar Tanveer Ilyas’ bail.
