In Hyderabad, fines and jail sentences have been announced for parents who refuse to give their children polio vaccine.
According to the notification, the refusing parents will face 1 month imprisonment and a fine of 50 thousand rupees.
The Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad says that it is mandatory to give polio drops to children.
Today the anti-polio campaign has started in the country, the national anti-polio campaign is being conducted in four provinces including Islamabad. During the campaign, more than 2 crore 4 lakh 42 thousand children will be vaccinated against polio.
According to the documents obtained regarding the polio campaign, complete polio campaign is scheduled in 77 districts and partial in 14 districts of the country and the campaign will be completed in 2 phases, the first phase of the national anti-polio campaign will run from April 29 to May 5 and this During this period, drops will be given in 3549 USCs of 86 districts. In the first phase, a total of more than 2 crore 29 lakh children will be given polio drops.
The second phase of the polio campaign will run from May 2 to 6. In the second phase, 15 lakh children will be vaccinated in 237 USCs of 5 districts.
During the polio campaign, 461125 children will be vaccinated in 80 USCs of Islamabad, 23 lakh 95 thousand children will be vaccinated in 30 districts of Balochistan.
More than 44 lakh children will be vaccinated in 26 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while more than 91 lakh children will be vaccinated in 10 districts of Punjab.
During polio vaccination, more than 79 lakh children will be vaccinated in 24 districts of Sindh, 2 lakh 4107 frontline polio workers will do duty during the campaign.
1 lakh 64 thousand 385 polio health workers will do duty in the first phase sub-polio campaign.
