BRT's financial crisis is serious, government's decision to increase the fare per kilometer

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to increase the fare per kilometer after the financial crisis of Peshawar BRT bus service became serious.

According to the details, the financial crisis of Peshawar BRT bus service has become serious and its loss has reached five billion rupees per year.

The provincial government has also decided to halve the subsidy given to BRT, while the Finance Advisor has severely reprimanded the BRT authorities for not reducing expenses and not increasing fares.

He said that in order to control the deficit, the government has decided to increase the fares of the shops established in the BRT property and passenger fares on kilometer basis.
