Lahore: FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle recovered hundreds of passports during a raid at a medical lab.
According to Express News, during the crackdown against elements involved in human trafficking and visa fraud, a raid was conducted in Iqbal Town area of Lahore.
During the operation, 3 suspects involved in human trafficking and visa fraud were arrested, including Muhammad Farooq, Umar Farooq and Shahid Ali.
130 passports and several travel documents, fake medical certificates, fake medical lab seals and envelopes were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
The accused used to receive huge sums of money from innocent citizens in the name of employment abroad, the accused were receiving passports from the citizens under the guise of medical treatment.
According to the spokesperson of FIA, the accused failed to satisfy the FIA authorities regarding the above mentioned documents, the accused have been arrested and the investigation has been started, more arrests are expected after identifying the accused.
