Scrutiny of nomination papers in four constituencies of National Assembly and Provincial Assembly in Lahore has been completed.

According to Express News, the Election Commission released the list after the scrutiny of the nomination papers in one and four constituencies of the National Assembly of Lahore was completed.

The nomination papers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Hammad Azhar were rejected from NA-119 and PP-164 constituencies of Lahore, while the papers of 12 candidates including Ali Pervez, Shehzad Farooq were accepted.

Similarly, the nomination papers of Chaudhry Munis Elahi from PP 158 were rejected while the nomination papers of 27 candidates including Akhtar Hussain, Yusuf Ali were approved.

19 candidates including PP 147 Mohammad Khan Madani, Majid Zahoor and 20 candidates including Shoaib Siddiqui, Ahsan Akram from PP 149 were approved.

On the other hand, the Appellate Tribunal dismissed the appeal against the rejection of Khawaja Habibur Rehman’s nomination papers, while the court also upheld the decision of the Returning Officer. League leader Khawaja Habib-ur-Rehman had filed an appeal against the rejection of nomination papers by the Senate.
