Prime Minister's decision to increase the team of interpreters to highlight the performance

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif decided to increase the team of spokespeople to fully highlight the government’s performance and defend the opposition’s criticism on the media and social media, and approved a comprehensive strategy for social media.

According to the details, the first extraordinary meeting of the government spokespersons was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, in which it was decided to increase the team of spokespersons to show the performance in a better way on media and social media.

The Federal Information Minister gave a detailed briefing on the media strategy in the meeting and also proposed to increase the number of interpreters.

In the meeting, challenges on the media front, issues of responding to the opposition’s narrative were discussed in detail, while suggestions for effective preparation regarding counter-narrative, timely response and media strategy were discussed.

According to the sources, the Prime Minister has decided to make party and government members spokespersons in the federation and provinces. According to which the senior and youth leaders of the party will become spokespeople, who will defend the party and the government in the media regarding their respective fields.

In the meeting, it was agreed to create a centralized system for dispatching party spokespersons in TV programs, while a comprehensive strategy for social media was also planned.

Apart from this, in the meeting, it was approved to establish collaboration between the spokespersons of the provincial and federal governments, the Prime Minister directed to give a chance and bring forward new faces for full response on the media front.

Apart from Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, former Federal Information Minister, Party Secretary Information and Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Punjab Information Minister Uzmi Zahid Bukhari, Akhtar Wali from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khildas Kohistani from Sindh province also participated in the meeting.
