Lahore: The court released 42 workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf who protested against the alleged rigging of elections at GPO Chowk in the capital of Punjab, Lahore.
According to the details, the PTI leaders and workers who were arrested by the Punjab Police during the protest from GPO Chowk yesterday were produced in the court.
The court dismissed the case registered against the activists arrested during the protest of alleged election rigging and ordered the immediate release of 42 accused including Barrister Shahid Masood, Maqsood Saber Ansari and Meher Salim.
It should be noted that yesterday the workers of Tehreek-e-Insaaf had protested in different areas of the country including Lahore against the alleged rigging of the elections on the instructions of Imran Khan. He was arrested after which a case was registered against him in Anar Kali police station.
